Punch and Hole

Punch and Hole is a informal research group of design researchers who are also design makers, and look for opportunities to experiment with digital ways of making.
We are inspired by subtracting to materials as a creative process or just cutting holes in a variety of materials.

Monotype Machine

The amazing Monotype Machine!

I went to Leipzig to see this machine work last Spring and it was utterly beautiful!
I guess it utilises highly complicated level of punch card.
It is really interesting to see how this machine is similar to musical instruments!
I've record some video but they are not really in good condition.
So here's video I found from 'http://typeculture.com'.

Here!

And here're some pictures of the machine from the Museum für Druckkunst Leipzig.
